It was recently imported to the UK from California, and, after meticulous upgrading, this all matching numbers 'pre L' model is now in first class driving condition. Re-commissioned by the UK’s leading De Tomaso specialist, it has undergone a full restoration with sympathetic upgrades that make it a truly great drive. Powered by a 5.8 litre V8 Cleveland engine, with its unmistakable sound, the car delivers 310 foot-pounds of torque and 310 bhp, driven through a five-speed dogleg ZF gearbox. It sits on its original Campagnolo sand cast wheels, has a new clutch system, ignition, carburation and air conditioning. The interior has been fully re-trimmed, in black, using original materials and head linings that match the spirit of the 1970s interior. We can supply references from Mike Drew, De Tomaso guru and guest on Jay Leno‘s garage; who originally found this car in America. The car was also a front cover feature together with a Lamborghini Countach LP 400 for Classic and Sports Car magazine and a full road-test can be found online. https://www.classicandsportscar.com/features/countach-vs-pantera-chasing-ultimate-thrill Since its refurbishment it is covered 2000 miles and has a total of a meter reading of 54,000 miles. Ready to drive this spring the car is available now for immediate despatch.
