Motorseeker - who are we and what do we do?

Motorseeker is a Limited Company owned by David Merifield and operated by Lee French. Between them they have almost 50 years experience and expertise in automotive retailing.

Our mission is to give excellent personal 'no-nonsense' service at prices substantially less than a conventional dealership.

David owned and operated the dealer group with vauxhall,Peugeot and Chevrolet as the core franchises.Today we can offer much more with lower prices direct to the public with our vast experience gained in the retail motortrade.

Who is David Merifield

David operated the family business for nearly 20 years growing it from a two to a five site group. He has always invested heavily in customer care - this being repaid with customers returning time and time again to buy their cars. Blakes won a number of coveted awards over the years and regularly received accolades from manufacturer partners. David was until recently President of Derbyshire and Nottingham Chamber of Commerce - an office held for two years. He continues as a Non-Executive Director.

Professionally qualified as a Chartered Secretary David had become increasingly frustrated about the constraints of operating a franchise and the limitations that this imposed on customers, As a result he sold Blakes in 2007 to set up Motorseeker.

New and used cars and vans

Today, Motorseeker offers a wide range of used vehicles to suit all budgets from £3000 to £60000. Being FSA accredited, we are able to offer best advice on the funding methods - including lease purchase and contract hire.

In early 2008, we launch our new car and van service. We are already able to offer customers old and new the very best terms on all new cars and vans. We have already supplied new cars to customers as far away as the North of Scotland who liked our no-nonsense approach. They appreciated being able to get through on the phone to the person they needed, who was able to give them the best terms over the phone. Some customers have already told us that we saved them £1000's against the dealer's prices!

Lee French and the team

Lee has worked with David now for nearly 10 years. He pledges that he can supply a price on all new cars or vans. 'We have invested in computer technology that allows us to quote a price within seconds' he adds. Lee has also launched very recently, our 'Car Location Service' - you just email or call him with exactly what you are seeking and let Motorseeker do the rest!

When you contact Motorseeker - you can expect honesty, integrity and promptness in dealing with your requirements. Having had the vast experience of running a large dealership group for many years we know customer frustrations! Not speaking to the person you want to speak to, not getting a price unless 'you are dealing today', expensively clad sales people who really don't care, telephone calls not being returned, feeling that you have 'had your leg lifted'.... Need we say any more!

We like to think that we have learned from other people's mistakes! So why not put us to the test!
